AIBU to want to do nice family activities in the holidays?
First World problem- despite having looked forward to the Christmas break for months, I'm now totally bored and fed up. DH and DC aren't interested in doing anything fun and just want to lounge about watching their screens. Don't have many friends and the ones I do have are busy with their families. Have tried to make new friends but essentially I'm a boring fucker with no chat. I spend most of my normal life on my own and was looking forward to spending family time over the holidays but once again I'm stuck on my own. Meh.

Why do you spend most of your normal life on your own?

(As that affects my answer)

I work from home & most of my hobbies are solo activities eg going to the gym, as everything has to fit around dc clubs, caring for elderly parents etc. Normal life is busy!

How old are your kids????Is there something (screen wise) everyone can enjoy doing??? I know it sounds mundane, but just recently, when we went bowling, my daughters eye was caught by the old school dance machines at the arcade attached to it, ( a little bit more updated now) but she loved it. I used to have a dance mat at home, and spent ages learning the moves. What about the Pokemon and Harry Potter craze that got kids out and about, where you had to look for them. She also asked for a metal detector (seen on Paddington) and she can't wait to take it out to find hidden treasure (throws 50p's on the floor in advance) X
