To write a post Xmas MN poem

For Xmas gifts I’ve received many a sock,
But now my entire family I must grey rock,
In 2025 I resolve to climb Snowdon,
To get a ring doorbell and shop only at Boden.

The poem you wrote
Is ok I guess
Beats all my efforts
I must confess

But then again
It should be said
I'm not a poet
& the best are dead!

Instead of writing
or reading good books
All I have done
Is drink wine while I cook

I've cooked turkey and stuffing
and sprouts mixed with butter
Potatoes and parsnips
A whole christmas platter.

And now I can say
With a smile on my face
That the hard work is over
And so I'll embrace ....

the vino, the choc
the mince pies and more
Cos I bloody deserve
to collapse on the floor

..wine glass in hand
and a full plate of trifle
ready to read mumsnet's
am I being unreasonable
