honestly no pun intended

I started watching it around 1980 when I was 7 and the vast majority of jokes went over my head but even at that age I could kinda get the MIL jokes. I stuck with it and could understand more and more the humour at the years went on and just LOVED the hilarious chase sequence at the end!

There’s a lot of comedy threads atm and Mrs Brown’s Boys is unpopular with the majority (though not me) - different reactions to Gavin and Stacey.

But I loved Benny Hill and watched it from infant school age. So there ! 🤣

Ugh no. I remember hating it even as a primary school child.

Remember it being quite funny as a child. Not sure I could sit down and watch it now. Same with most of those old comedies like Kenny Everett. Even the Two Ronnies is mostly crap with the odd moment of genius.

With 2 Ronnies I love that sketch

Couldn’t stand it. Thought it tedious. I did like On The Buses, Bless this House, Love Thy Neighbour and several others and thought they were funny. Killed myself laughing over the Carry On movies. But Benny Hill, nope, died inside every time it came on.

I used to love it as a child. Then I grew up and the sexism spoiled it for me.
The chase was funny at the time though.
