To find a family New Year's Eve event this last minute?

Suddenly all decided we would like to do something for once for New Year's Eve as we normally stay in. Has to be child friendly as we have a 5 & 6 year old. Everywhere is either ridiculously expensive or fully booked! At this point we literally don't care where we travel to as long as it's in the uk! Anyone got any suggestions?

A theme park stay? Depends on budget and different entertainment depending on the park.

A hotel with a family event? I looked at a few but my children are classed as adults in the ones I wanted and I refuse to pay over £1000 for one night in a UK hotel.

I thought about looking at a quirky Airbnb.

Could you go into city or town for their fireworks or a lot of football/ cricket clubs etc have displays near us.

Our local softplay is going NYE party but in the day. Would something like that be worth a look?
