No feeling in thumb

My Christmas Day ended dramatically 😂 basically Yesterday my thumb got trapped under the foot of my 200kg corner sofa, hurt like a bitch initially I thought my thumb got torn off, I went into a full on panic attack. but it's just badly bruised, anyway now I don't have any feeling around my nail and top of thumb it's just gone completely numb since yesterday. My partner recons I should go and get it looked at but they don't even do anything for broken thumbs right? It will heal on its own?

They take broken hands and digits very seriously. Go to A&E and get it seen, a crush injury can do a lot of harm.

I’d definitely get it looked at

I'm not a medic, but my guess is that they probably look to check that there's nothing that needs straightening out, even if 90% of them then just heal on their own.

Your thumb is far too important to your dexterity to leave this. Please seek urgent medical attention. I'd make sure where e you go has a functioning xray machine.

If no feeling I’d definitely get it checked
