To invite your daughter and grand daughter round then walk dog twice and spend over 2 and half hours upstairs in bed ?

Not all dogs need two walks a day if they're walked properly!

Mine does because he’s got this weird habit that is now set in stone 😩 because the first house we lived in didn’t have a very secure garden .
we took him 3 walks per day or even 4 and only supervised garden time .
we moved to home with completely secure garden but the habit stuck

He’s maybe unwell ?

For whatever reason, he is taking the space he needs to get through the day. You should respect that rather than trying to make him feel
guilty.

here did tatcome from? OP never mentioned reacting at all. She is skin our thoughts on hisbehaviour. That's all.

Don’t be silly

Are you a budding fiction writer?

Don't be so utterly ridiculous

Well an affair is pretty weak coming after MI, dementia and schizophrenia

Luddite26 · 27/12/2024 16:46

Did you ask your dad what was up or your mum? Or just thought I will ask Mumsnet what they think about this man that you have known all your life and most probably not one of us would know him?

posters were suggesting she confront him in various ways. That would be rude. The only reason to do that is to make him feel guilty for taking a break.

Doesn't everyone have a snooze Xmas afternoon? And yes dogs have to be walked

Vettrianofan · 27/12/2024 17:51

He maybe can't be arsed with visitors. We don't want people over at Christmas much either as I find it too stressful especially as I have children who have additional needs. We visit just before or after the big day.
