He is truly miserable. Barely speaks to me. Plenty to say to other people - just never me. Typical grumpy old man. I have a dog already. My only source of affection. Kids have left and moved on. Very friendly, dog mad existing dog and I would really really really love a Yorkshire terrier. DH has threatened to move out if I do. Can’t bear anymore dog hair or smells, he says. Ok. So it’s him or the dog. I’m seriously considering the dog. Am I being mad? Will I regret this? Also, can a Yorkshire terrier help at all with the bills? No probably not. It’s all such a dilemma. We’ve been married for 350 years. Actually 35, but you know what I mean.

Has anyone actually said keep the DH?

Good dog name.

Let us know if you need help with ducks.

I have a lovely DH and he's a joy but I always planned the marriage with divorce in mind...it does help!

If he made me choose between him and dogs tho...

Single mum of grown up children here - I live alone with my dog. It's bloody brilliant. I'd get another - dog, not man - too, if the resident dog wasn't such a queen...

Yorkies are fab, funny and happy. Mine is very chatty and has a wide variety of noises to boss us around!
