Hsv in babies

my baby is 3 months old and my aunt kissed baby on the face with a cold sore which I didn’t know about until family told me afterwards. How will I know if my baby has contracted hsv, will he carry it with no symptoms or will I know in a few weeks with my baby having cold sores

I think either of those scenarios are possible.

Speak to your Health Visitor or GP for advice.

Also, in the unlikely event that your baby were to become significantly unwell in the next couple of weeks, mention the cold sore exposure.
