TV time for 15mo

DD (and us!) has been unwell with two different bugs for the past 2 weeks. She's usually very (VERY) active and we have a busy schedule and routine, so there's never time for tv and we take a very pro play approach, with lots of toys and books everywhere and we go out a few times a day. However, since being ill, all she wants to do is watch tv and screams if we turn it.off to read or play etc. She will cry huge, fat tears until we put it back on and will play in short intervals while it's on.

is it OK to lean into this temporarily to survive?! We are all feeling so rotten and absolutely knackered. We are still taking her out to the park once a day for fresh air but after her nap she just wants to sit and cuddle with tv on and I feel so guilty but its genuinely all she wants right now. If you'd not do this, please give me tips for what you would do instead!

You've all been ill, please don't be so hard on yourselves. Just reset in the new year when you're all better.

It sounds as though TV isn't a regular thing for your DD.

She's poorly, you're poorly, if that means a bit of TV watching then that's ok, we all just want comfort when we're feeling under the weather and you're still getting out for fresh air so that's good.
Bob along as best you can and don't push yourselves.
