I currently have not one but two grown ass adults playing tiktok videos on a train. They are the type with the really irritating voices too!

Just ask them to turn the volume down or use their headphones. I always half expect to be told to fuck off when I ask but it hasn't happened yet. Most people look embarrassed and mumble an apology.

I always think that if I'm feeling pissed off, then other people probably are too but everyone's waiting for someone else to say something.

I asked someone to turn his phone down the other day & when he ignored me, a couple of other people chimed in too, at which point he gave in. Which was satisfying.

When I've been feeling all "give no fucks" I'll say something and all of them turn it down.
They're relying on no-one saying anything.

And everyone else shows their gratitude with a look or comment to me.. Everyone is hating it the same as us.

Yes this. I used to be too timid to say anything but I've developed a give no fucks attitude of late and now always pull up antisocial behaviour like headphoneless videos or littering and no one has wanted to argue with me yet! It feels strangely empowering 🤣

I have posted this on other threads, but please send an email to the train operator asking complaining about this.

We need to keep pressuring them to take action.

Yes it's hideous. On the tube the other day there was a young woman playing videos of which every 3rd word was "fucking". I asked her to turn it off as it was loud and there were small children sitting opposite. She stared at me utterly gormlessly.

We need a big campaign led by the tube/train/bus companies with posters and regular announcements, then fines.

I would never have said anything when I was young but have also developed a give no fucks attitude in middle age. It's very empowering.

Getting involved in women's rights and spending more time with strong, bolshy women has probably helped. 😂

Starmer needs a political win at no financial cost. Making this a criminal offense would probably get him re-elected

I hate this so much . I give the people paddington stares, but I don't think the ignorant buffoons doing this understand how enormously rude it is.
I find it excruciating and try to move to a different part of the bus, but often it's too busy.
The worst was on a train where a couple were watching a series with lots of swearing and young DCs were in the same carriage. The bloke looked far too likely to kick off if I had said anything, so I didn't.
