My husband said he has a stand up wee in front of our baby. Am I being unreasonable for telling him not to?

And?! Unless you have a urinal in your bathroom he should be sitting down to wee anyway, but not sure what the baby has to do with it?!

MajorCarolDanvers · 20/12/2024 17:15

What on earth is your issue?

Jumell · 20/12/2024 17:16

YADNBU OP

I for one don’t tolerate lavatorial faux pas

DarkAndTwisties · 20/12/2024 17:16

Hoppinggreen · 20/12/2024 17:08

Is his aim so bad its a concern?

🤣

OP this doesn't bother me at all

DaisyCottonClock · 20/12/2024 17:17

Is there a reason you think this is a problem?

ShortyShorts · 20/12/2024 17:18

Lol

Mademetoxic · 20/12/2024 17:19

AIBU for saying 'baby' instead of THE baby...

SlightDrip · 20/12/2024 17:20

Are you going to make your baby face the door and cover its eyes when you change a tampon???

EnjoythemoneyJane · 20/12/2024 17:20

This can’t be real 🙄

Stillherestillpraying · 20/12/2024 17:21

If he is out with the baby and needs the toilet he will have to. Just as you would have to!

At home there is of course no need. That is what the bathroom door is for.

marshmallowbum · 20/12/2024 17:21

YABU

And good luck with the kid not joining you in the bathroom for the next 8 years...

Nodlikeyouwerelistening · 20/12/2024 17:21

Watching mum and dad wee (and the other bodily function) is actually a great way of normalizing it for the child when you come to potty training. Wee and poo has to be not a big deal “look, we all do it” sort of thing for the best success.

Enigma52 · 20/12/2024 17:21

😂😂 oh crikey!

paulhollywoodshairgel · 20/12/2024 17:21

I had to go number 2 with my baby in a sling many times!! This is a strange thread!

Maddest thread on mumsnet for a long while.

IVFmumoftwo · 20/12/2024 17:05

What is the issue?? Will your husband never get naked in front of your child?

Edited

Would that be the worst thing in the world?

Lostcat · 20/12/2024 17:23

nutty bongo 😂

Pandasnacks · 20/12/2024 17:24

Would it be better for you if it was a sit down wee?? This is daft.

Danikm151 · 20/12/2024 17:26

Babies learn from example- knowing about using the toilet is a positive.

OTannenbaumOTannenbaum · 20/12/2024 17:27

😆 thanks for the laugh, op

TempuraCustard · 20/12/2024 17:29

It's better than leaving a young baby unattended

InformerYaNoSayDaddyMeSnowMeIGoBlameALickyBoom · 20/12/2024 17:29

Yanbu at all, I kept an eye mask in the bathroom for this very reason when my kids were little.

Maddest thread on mumsnet for a long while.

Yup. Your response was better than mine which was going to be WTAF.

Elf24 · 20/12/2024 17:31
