Child benefit help

Hi. I know I won’t know for sure till then but I changed my bank details on Wednesday. I’m due to be paid child benefit on Monday. It says ‘if bank details are paid less than 3 working days, the payment may go to the old bank account’ I’m worried it’ll then be unusable. Anyone know with it being Wednesday I did it? Money is tight and my work place don’t pay early during December. Thanks!

Sorry that meant to say ‘if bank details are changed less than 3 working days then it may go to the old account’ something along those lines.

Is the old bank account still open?

I’d expect it to go into the old account given there’s only 2 working days between the date you changed it & the date it’s due.
