Posting here for traffic.

Is there anyone on here whose child has PS and is symptomatic with tiredness? I'm wondering, if they are, what severity they have?
My 4 year old was diagnosed at birth with mild, then discharged aged 2. But he has been abnormally tired for a year and I'm wondering if this could be the cause. I'm waiting to hear back from cardiology. Bloods came back clear in January when he was checked, paediatrician couldn't see any issues, but decided to refer him to cardiology but the wait is 1 year. I'm concerned that he's already been abnormally tired for a year.

I think it's v unlikely. My daughter - now an adult- has moderate PS. She has remained under cardiology review every few years. She has never been symptomatic. We were told it was very unlikely that the valve issue would significantly change and it never has. I think he would be a lot more obviously symptomatic if it had changed enough to cause any symptoms.
Presumably they checked for anaemia in bloods? Could it be post viral?
I really do know how worrying any cardiac issue is but over the last 20 + years I have come to realise that if you have to have a child with a congenital heart defect, pulmonary stenosis is probably one of the least concerning.

My son has mild pulmonary stenosis but he wasn't discharged from cardiology, he gets check ups every 2 years in case of any progression. He's 8 now & it's never developed any further thankfully.
In terms of symptoms- I don't think it makes him more tired, he has a genetic condition called 22q11 which causes his & he'd have a lot of other issues due to that, but thankfully only mild cardiac issues.
I would definitely see the gp if you have any concerns though & see if you can get your child seen by cardiology again.

Sorry just reread that you have seen gp & cardiology wait is 1 year. I would contact them with your concerns & see if you can get seen sooner x
