Don't leave it to the last minute for buying gift cards

Past couple of years, shops that sell 3rd party gift cards - Amazon, iTunes etc, the system that processes them has crashed a few times 2-3 days before Christmas as it can't cope with the numbers of cards being processed.

I remember last year, customers were shouting at us. One customer said "served you right leaving it to the last minute"

Well that's rude of those customers. I don't know why they didn't just get cash out to put in a card

I had to use gift cards for my entire Christmas presents this year as my husband gets a £1000 credit limit at curtys he pays back over the year straight from his wages. It's the only way to be able to shop anywhere other than currys (youchoose cards are the best)
Luckily I've got it all done now before any system crashing

Or give people cash instead... simple solution.
