To ask for advice from hairdressers, please?

I’ve been suffering from hair thinning due to a number of known reasons. While I’m waiting for it to decide to grow back, I’ve been using a root cover powder on my scalp which is working really well (it’s the Color Wow root powder). I’m in the office on Friday and then getting my hair coloured after work.

Can I wear my powder to the appointment? My hair won’t be washed first in the salon. I’ll wash it the night before so it’ll be clean, but the powder will be on my scalp and around the roots. Is this likely to cause any issues with the dye taking?

The powder is very fine and like an eyeshadow in texture, applied with a little brush. It’s not a product like thickening fibres.

It should be fine. Unless you have oil-based product in your hair it won't affect anything. Worse comes to worst, the hairdresser can always quicky rinse your scalp and blast dry before they colour your hair. It's best to give the salon a call to confirm but I see no issue.
