I have two bunny lovers in my life who avoid this film. I can't work out if this mug is genuis or a perpetuation of the trauma!

@braaaiiins I started reading Plague Dogs as a teenager and had to give up the opening sequence was so harrowing. I should maybe try it again but I'm still wary. Then again Z for Zachariah at age 11 wasn't a good choice either!

Wasn’t allowed to watch it, never read the book, don’t know what I’m missing but I’d rather not know having read the posts

Watership Down the book was horrific, but I had to keep reading so I knew how it ended. I warned my little sister not to go when our school held a charity showing, but she insisted, so I had to go with her and experience that too. She was of course distraught.

Still not as traumatising to me as Bambi - the endless death and suffering was so completely unexpected as a small child. Whoever thought that was a suitable film for children? A bit of icy fun does not change anything!

Also notable, as a previously 'U' rated film, that it contains the line 'Piss off' 😄

Amazing really that this has been reclassified up when everything else has gone the other way.

Fantastic book, and fantastic film. I wonder what films released for today's generation will still be under discussion nearly 50 years on.
