Is this cladding ?

This is not my area of expertise at all - is this wood/plastic cladding on the property (the white area ) ?

If so, would it be costly to be remove and put bricks back .. if that is even an option?

I sound really silly here, but are there bricks underneath any way and it’s just a case of removing white cladding ?

I suspect it is plastic cladding. The bricks will still be underneath, but not sure what state they will be in!

Could have been a “design feature” when the house was built. In which case it’ll be breeze blocks underneath. Check the other houses in the street.

Sometimes there is nothing behind this sort of wall. That's it, no bricks behind at all. In which case it's probably not even insulated and will also be prone to rot. However, that woodwork is quite extensive so I would hope that there is something behind it in this case.

Agree with others - look at other houses in the street. But we had cladding similar to this going up one side. We put a tiny hole in a discreet place and popped a camera in to check the underneath and it was just normal brick. Took it all off and it completely changed the look of the house. HOWEVER the bricks underneath were significantly un-weathered in comparison to the bricks that had been exposed, so it took a few years for it to look like we hadn't just built half the house again

Thanks for all the responses- that’s one of the issues - all the houses on this road are completely different to one another. they are all different styles as if a different builder has built everyone of them! This is the only house style on this road/nearby area ..

owner should have info here the houses are listedwith materals age etc
or website with info for taxes
