I have two children age 6 and 10. All I hear every minute they are in the house is.. Muuuum can I have a drink, Muum, wheres the (insert every object here), Muuum im hungry, Muum whats for dinner, Muum can I have some money etc etc. It is non stop, constant and I cant sit for 1 minute. Am i unreasonable to set some boundaries to get some peace, what are your strategies??? Suggestions please. I am worn the fck out. Also both have sen needs, not sure if that makes a difference or not :(

Just to say yanbu! Mine has asd and has just started saying 'mummy pig' to refer to me 😄😄😄

You can imagine how much I'm loving that!

You've only got one more week of term until the two weeks Xmas holidays! Make sure you get plenty of rest is my advice! x

I’m reading a book at the moment and it said something along the lines of “it’s amazing how children can turn the word ‘mum’ into three syllables!”

so true!

Ask them to collate all their requests and ask them during one or two pre-arranged five minute request periods. Still as irritating but confined to 5-10 mins per day.
