Emma Watson is by far the worst of the Harry Potter three, but none of them are good.

I can't stand David Tennant or Michael Sheen. I'm not sure if it's because they have such objectionable personal views or because they are bad though. I find them unwatchable regardless.

Ha, thought Keanu may be slightly controversial. I really like him. But he has no range whatsoever. I'm at peace with these feelings 😆

😂

You can't say Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson without mentioning the worst actor of them all - Rupert 'Bloody Hell' Grint.

I thought Rupert Grint was generally considered the least worst of the three of them?

He had a challenging job as the script writers did the Ron Weasley character dirty.

Emma Watson is light years worse. I could even see how bad she was when I was a young child. Allegedly she threw a tantrum aged 13 when the producers wanted her to have acting lessons because she was just so bad.

Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe is “tries very hard and just about pulls it off”.

I know I am a minority of one for this choice: Tom Hanks. I absolutely can't stand him. Utterly talentless. I can't fathom why he is adored by so many.

Omg, yes, YES! I don't hate him that much, but I'm seriously baffled why so many people simply adore him. I suppose he can be likeable, with that shy bumbling mumbling of his (more like annoying), but still. He's certainly no Pacino, Brando or DDL in acting department. Now Keanu is a shit actor, but he's a good person and people love him. I totally get it and I like him too. But no one calls him a 'great actor', they call him a great guy. Hanks gets called a great actor all the time and he's not.

The Rock, Statham, Stallone, Norris, Chan, Van Damme, Hemsworth, Momoa, Diesel etc - they're not actors, they're action stars, there's a difference. They don't need to act. They need to look good, be buff, smash&crash and be charismatic.

Now as for shit ones, deff Keira 'the drawer' Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Emilia Clarke, Watson, Radcliffe, Hugh Grant, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Stewart, Aniston, all the Baldwins, Sandler - there are tons.

Martin Freeman

He is brilliant! I love everyhring he is in.

FabulousPharmacyst · 14/12/2024 18:31

Ellie56 · 14/12/2024 17:49

Agreed. Sarah Lancashire aka Raquel is excellent.

Suranne Jones also in Corrie

Parratha · 14/12/2024 17:43

Actually there have been some fantastic soap actors and actresses. "Raquel" from Coronation Street for example.

There used to be back when they cast actors. Then they went the American route and started casting models.

FabulousPharmacyst · 14/12/2024 18:31

Entire cast of Mrs Brown’s Boys.

I watched Emma Watson in a film about a bunch of American brats breaking into rich peoples houses. Was embarassing how bad she was in it.

FKAT · 14/12/2024 18:32

(Spoiler alert) When Brad Pitt opened the box in Se7en, I was glad it was her decapitated head in there.

OMG same.

I knew one of Gerard Butler's directors. They said "if you can, cast Gerard Butler, because he has so many fans who'll see him in ANYTHING... (pause) ...but don't give him too much dialogue. He's not good at talking."

Tracystubbs · 14/12/2024 18:33

The lady who plays casandra trotter in ofah
She's soooooo wooden

Owen Wilson (of meet the fockers/marley and me fame)
Cannot stand him and his whiney voice

The lady who played the eldest webster dd in corrie (Rosie?Sophie?)
Not watched it for years but my mother did so I saw bits in my teens/20's
She only had one face and was unbelievably awful at acting

Picoloangel · 14/12/2024 18:33

Emma Watson
Nicole Kidman
Daniel Radcliffe
Tom Cruse
Kristen Stewart

BrioNotBiro · 14/12/2024 18:34

Lily James - spoils every film she's in, particularly and pointlessly "Darkest Hour".

blueshoes · 14/12/2024 18:34

Zendaya

Not sure I was convinced by her in Dune

Carouselfish · 14/12/2024 18:35

Emma Watson is so bad. And so say all who work with her.

I love Jeff Goldblum, he is hot and I love his persona. But. He is himself in everything. Find it amusing he teaches acting classes.

Watched red one last night, the Rock was great

It looks so bad in the trailers.

Middlemarch123 · 14/12/2024 18:35

Maureen Lipman is brilliant in Corrie, steals every scene.
Can’t stand Tom Hanks, god knows why, brings me out in hives.
Suranne Jones is another one, sure she’s a good actress but can’t watch her in anything.

ForkMeImToast · 14/12/2024 18:36

I never liked Meghan Markle in Suits 🙈 I thought she was an awful actor.

To be clear, this has nothing to do with her personality or personal life - I stopped watching Suits long before she became a household name. I just remember thinking "she's so pretty, it's a shame she can't act".

Nolegusta · 14/12/2024 18:36

Emma Watson
Keira Knightly
Tom Cruise

Alec Baldwin, hands down! The most deadpan actor ever!

Came on to say Alec Baldwin.

He was dreadful in Still Alice.

Olivia Coleman is great, she was the only good thing about Paddington in Peru!

Nicholas Cage's success is inexplicable to me, I find him awful but he's been in something like 115 movies so somebody must like him...

Hugh Grant is obviously terrible, he just basically plays himself.

But Hugh Grant was great in Paddington 2 and not half bad in the Jeremy ThorpeTV drama. I was impressed.
I think he has matured and branched into different roles as he has lost his pretty boy looks. He is also bright (went to Oxford) and comes over as quite self-aware.
Similarly, Keira Knightly is very different in the new Netflix drama Black Doves, a better actress and no longer looks as pretty as she used to. Her face is bonier and interesting. (Not puffed up with fillers and unnatural cheeks anyway.)

Rosie Webster was played by Helen Flanagan - she was atrociously bad!

cavea · 14/12/2024 18:39

Catherine Zeta Jones, such a wooden actress, thank god she seems to have retired.
Jennifer Aniston, can never see her as anything other than Rachel.
Nicole Kidman, I get totally distracted by her frozen face and weird lips.
Cameron Diaz, and she is making a comeback movie after 10 years.
