Got a text tonight asking me to confirm my special 'food to order' Christmas cake etc by 10.45pm. I was ASLEEP. Now no special food. Thanks very much. :-(

Phone them first thing to see if they can still do it. Not that they're easy to get hold of.

Impressed with your early bedtime although I fell asleep early as well and am now wide awake!

It should be by 11.45 tonight though. You should still be able to confirm your order.

It’s 10.45 tonight- although they made the cutoff date clear from when I booked my slot ages ago. When did you think the cutoff was?

The check out date is today but most of the food to order is gone within weeks of the slots being released (I missed the stuff I wanted) and it says on every item that date and time you need to check out by.

Thanks all, the text came out of the blue, no mention of HOW to confirm, logged into 'orders' etc on my Tesco account, nothing there.. yes, I'd ordered weeks ago..
Showed the text to my more-techy daughter, she didn't understand either & got in touch with Tesco & what it SHOULD have said, apparently, was that if I wanted to order anything more, it should be by 10.45pm tonight, as some of you said. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed as clear as mud!

I had this text too, in any other circumstance I would have thought it was spam but there was nothing to click and so I just opened up the order and confirmed again without changing it, I can still add to it so I didn't get it either!

You can still add to your order for ordinary food as you would usually do but the festive food to order items had to be checked out yesterday as they’re especially ordered for each customer.
