Hi, if anyone have had the same problem like mine. I have separated with my partner with 2 kids and moved out due to relationship break and abusive relation. I moved out at my parents house. I applied for UC but I’m on mortgage although I don’t pay the mortgage neither have my money on equity. My capital was disregarded for 6 months and I was told by dwp they will contact me after 6 month. I called them to update my circumstances which didn’t change for 6 months but I’m still getting paid UC. Am I getting overpaid. Do I need to contact universal credit again? I’m so confused

What capital do you have that was disregarded?
What do you mean "you're on the mortgage"? Do you own the house together with your ex?

I think they continue to disregard the capital that tied up in the house, until the house is sold (which can require a court order, so time can vary) and you get your share. Once you get your money back from the house sale, you will need to inform them, and will no longer be eligible if it's over £16k
