I am really struggling to buy my 13 year old son a gift for XMAS, he really likes sports and also gaming, but I really don't know what he wants. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

What's your budget?

Are you able to take him to the shops and let him choose a few things and then you know you have bought the right things for him or does he want a surprise.?

Why don't you just ask him? It's not like he will still believe in Father Christmas at least if you ask it will be something he likes.

PC gaming or games console (and if so, which one)? Which sports?

For my 12 year old I've bought a silly game we can play over Christmas ( chicken vs hotdog or something like that), a gaming mini fridge so he can keep some drinks and snacks in his room to have when gaming. I've bought him some nice popcorn and stuck an odeon cinema card on it so him and a friend can have a trip to the cinema sometime. An oodie and pjs. Some Nike tops. And will get him a new phone case.i may get him some gym equipment as well as he's very into going to the school gym at the moment

I’ve bought mine a couple of board games, vouchers to go indoor skiing (which he loves) and a ski coat, some new sporty clothes and an x box game. Also chocolates, socks, PJs etc. it’s definitely a hard age! He also loves the mystery football shirts - would yours like one of those?

I have struggled so much this year. My son is 13 a few days after Christmas as well! We've got him a drone as his main present. Every time we've asked what he wants, it's "I don't know" or "money."

I have bought a cardboard cash point off amazon, which looks cool, so I will put some money in that.

I've also got him a new fluffy blanket, a case to keep his coins in, a file to put the coins in (they have various bits of coin collections all sitting in a drawer). I've got him a collection coin from the royal mint. A book set, big tub of sweets, toiletries. I need to get him slippers and aftershave, and he's done. He's also having a stocking with various bits for scouts, as well as the usual Boxers, socks, chocolate. I've also got a Marshmallow Toasting set for him and his brother to share, I've got them personalised toasting sticks to go with it.

For his birthday clothes, dressing gown, sweets, shin pads for hockey, smart watch.
