Does anyone else have this problem with clothes?

I am a good few yrs past menopause, but fortuitously haven't experienced a weight change (yet!).
All's well and good I eat pretty healthy and am active, and have somehow remained within the same weight range for yrs.
But, I seem to fluctuate between sizes as a matter of course.
So say I am a 10, I will gain 4 or so pounds through the year and suddenly be a 12.
Then, for no reason I am aware of, I will lose it again and go back to a 10.

This is an issue because for me, that slight variation puts me between sizes, and the trousers I wore 2 months ago are either too tight or too big.

Is this common? I don't change anything, but this variation has just been with me all of my life, and it has made clothing purchases a true pain in the arse.

Right now I am in the dipping down stage, even though my habits have not changed. I am once again in the 10 range, so a good portion of my wardrobe is baggy.
Maybe it's just me and I have an odd body, but these slight changes do translate to a new clothing size. It bothers me as I can't trust buying something now, and never know what to go for.
It would be ideal if there was a size '10.5', so that I could permanently stay in between and comfy.

Please tell me his isn't just me?

The problem isn't the clothes. Your weight fluctuates, that's all.

Mine does too. I have a few things of each size and wear whatever is comfortable. I choose clothes that can be adjusted such as wrap dresses in summer and kilt skirts in winter.

Discreet elastic waist bands? Clothes that are styled to be baggy? Lots of options.

Yes, stretchy materials, wide waist bands, and a bag of things in the cupboard labeled 'too small' and the weight they fit me at.

Sometimes (less often, I fear) I have a similar bag labeled 'too big'.

My weight seems to stay just the same and clothes always feel the same (46) but my husband said this was quite unusual in 20 years and his previous gf had gone up and down by about half a stone.
I know a few friends who say the same as you, weight varies throughout year. I don’t rigidly stick to the same foods or watch what I eat but maybe some people just have static weight 🤷‍♀️
