Sorry, I have done a search but couldn't find a Thread. LittleBeast and I almost had a heart attack - neither of us in the best health anyway! No idea if I signed up to notifications - but phone was on silent so government can obviously override settings!

Didn’t get one 🤔

Didn't we all get a test done a while back? It's about time this was brought in really.

We're in a yellow zone so no alert but I'd definitely crap myself if I got one.

You can, like i did, switch off the alarm, within your phone settings, i can look out the window or listen to the radio/TV to know a storm is on its way.

But it’s not just for storms and can be used locally.

Butthechildrentheylovethebooks · 07/12/2024 18:01

I wouldn't switch the alarm off! Ours went off when we were in Rhodes because of the wild fires and we had to evacuate. It's a horrible sound to hear but literally can be life saving.

Gettingbysomehow · 07/12/2024 19:09

It scared the hell out of me. I thought it was WW3. It went off during the night as well.

LemonyChicken · 07/12/2024 19:10

You got one today?

What else? Tsunami? Wild fires? if they are coming our way then yes but they are not in the UK.

Pointless crap.

How did we all manage before they had named storms and alerts? which induce fear and anxiety.
