To think they are insane to travel in this?

Booked onto a bus trip to Birmingham a couple of months back. Travelling from South Wales. Trip was planned for today, guessed it would be cancelled due to the red/yellow weather warnings.

Apparently though, the trip is still going ahead 😬🤷‍♀️ Honestly can’t understand how the bus company are still gonna risk driving in these conditions. I’ve said I’m not taking the risk and decided not to go. Yes it’s annoying that I’ll lose my money but I’d rather have my life especially with three young children who need me.

Would you have still gone on the trip? Or am I right in thinking the bus company should have cancelled and refunded everyone or given the option to reschedule?

Although the M50 Via Ross on Wye you will be taking. The winds could've brought trees/ debris flying across the motorway causing delays at best.
Even if not a red area at the moment, winds can change direction. Further rain due etc
It's not worth it for a shopping trip in the rain.
IMO Cardiff has great shops( DS3 was at Uni there)

@meganorks I just messaged her privately to ask who the bus company is and said the reason I’m asking is that I’ve noticed all the other local companies cancelled all journeys today.

Her reply was well this one didn’t and the weather was fine after Newport 🙄

Deffo something not right there, think it’s what you said tbh they paid someone on the cheap to do the drive & pocketed some of the money. X
