Why do people buy Celebrations advent calendars if they don't like Bounty?

As you are going to get 3-5 of each chocolate.

This year and another year, people with these ACs have moaned on SM that the first 3 days they had Bounty chocs and they hate Bounty!

Because people are knobs, frankly! Especially those who think anyone gives a single shit about their 'opinions' on the cess pit that is social media.

(I recognise I am 100% in my cantankerous perimenopausal era and I embrace it fully).

Love a bounty, send 'em all my way, thank you.

Another one who loves a bounty😋. I'm unusual though in that my least favourite is malteasers!

I like a bounty! But it's a well known unpopular chocolate from the selection.

I think the point people are moaning about is the fact it's a 4-5/25 chance of getting a bounty, but it was 3/3 for the first 3 days which is wild odds! So on the likelihood someone doesn't like bounty's, it's a disappointing start.

It's really not that wild odds.

If 20% of the chocolates are Bounty it's probably 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 = 0.8% or 1 in 125. So likely thousands of the advent calendars produced are like this.

Moral of the story is to not pick a chocolate selection if you're going to have a problem with some of them not being to your taste.

I've literally just watched Have I got News for you on catch up and this came up! 3 Bounty's.....and who knew they were so hated 😂

I love a bounty 🤷‍♀️ But if I didn't like them, I'd probably buy a different calendar. People are weird though. And like to moan.

I hate snickers and find malteasers blah. So I don't get a celebrations advent calendar.

I’d say don’t buy the calendar if you don’t like the chocolate though.
Reminds me of Revels. The vile orange cream. Back then you didn’t have a choice, you got given what you were bought. Chocolate was a treat not like today when people shove it down their throats all the time.

In my various workplaces when we had a tub of Celebrations open, it was the Bounties that were left last. More for me.

First taken were the Galaxy Truffles. Bring these back!

The irony of this thread 😂 yep people are weird. Some like to moan about bountys. Some like to moan about people moaning about bountys.

Because when you open the door and see you have a malteser chocolate, the sense of joy overrides the fact you got a bounty the previous day. 😁 A Celebrations calendar is like life - some days are crap (bounty), some are so-so (galaxy maybe), others are pretty damn good (malteser).

I used to love the bounty ice cream, I used to have about one a day back in 1994.
I would love an advent calendar that had a bounty every day.
If anyone doesn’t want heir bounties of any kind dark, milk, ice cream. I’ll have them thanks.

My kids were bought these calenders as a gift from a relative. One of them doesn't even like chocolate so was extra disappointed to get 3 bounties for the first 3 days. I was beginning to suspect the relative had bought them cheap and they were all bounty! 🤣

God I love a bounty esp the dark ones.

What one needs to do is get a refillable calendar and buy a tub of celebrations. One can then ensure that they only get the yummy ones and that someone else gets all the bountys and snickers.

Can’t stand bountys as I can’t stand coconut. It’s not weird to dislike different things. But I wouldn’t buy the advent calendar. If someone had bought it I’d just give the ones I didn’t like to the DC.

DD was delighted to get Bounties on 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

If everybody else did, I like to think somebody thought it would be a great way to wind up the recipients by setting the machine up that way.

If you wanted the same chocolate every day you wouldn't buy a Celebrations advent calendar? The same chocolate three days in a row is boring.
