So following on from my grumble about no one remembering to wish my happy birthday....

Followed shortly after with .....
Mom has been sent to the hospital
- trouble breathing, low oxygen, high bld pressure
And despite ringing and emailing it was 12 hours before I had a response of any sort from another brother. And then basically nothing for another full day to find out she's getting palliative care and isn't expected to live.
This is typical of my brothers giving me only little dribs of info and usually only after I've asked several times. By email by phone. Leaving voicemails. I leave an ocean apart from them and my mom so it's not like I can just pop over to see for myself. Travelling there would take nearly a day. This is assuming it was something I could do - but I can't as I have caring responsibilities here.
Sorry - just needing to grumble. Yet again. Normally I'm quite a happy person but everything seems to be an absolute train wreck right now.
