Why is the bar so low

Just read a thread where the OP who hasn't slept with her husband in two months is wondering if she should sleep in the same room just to try out the new bed. Just when was the bar set so low. Is the happily ever after with a raging hot sex life just a fantasy? is it a British thing and we all need to move abroad to avoid crap sex lives and relationships?

OP posts:

I don't see why moving abroad would make any difference.

Yes. I was hoping Brexit would solve all of our crap sex lives...

Why are you starting a thread about another poster's thread?

Topseyt123 · 06/12/2024 02:27

This is blatantly about another thread so will probably be pulled soon enough.

Moving abroad - batshit idea. I prefer the suggestion that Brexit was supposed to resolve this. It's as sensible as anything else the leave campaign came up with. 🤣🤣

Before this is pulled........

that thread is clearly not about what the OP posted. Its about miscommunication and a failing relationship. He stopped having as much sex so she dealt with it by withdrawing from the bedroom altogether. At no point does it appear that they have actually had a conversation about it.

Its a totally fucked up dynamic.

And yes, a long and happy marriage that doesnt have peaks and troughs of hot sex IS a fantasy. Or even peaks and troughs of ok sex. Life, kids, jobs, stress, health, age, all get in the way at times. Anyone who thinks that swinging from the chandelier every night in a long marriage is the norm is unrealistic at best.
