If I don't want to clean, retail or wipe bums are there any other jobs at this time of day?

vodkaredbullgirl · 05/12/2024 20:11

Wow 😳 caring is just not about wiping bums.

Zoraflora · 05/12/2024 20:12

LittleRedRidingHoody · 05/12/2024 20:15

Waitressing? If you're in a city - work in a theatre? Cinemas?

stayathomer · 05/12/2024 20:16

Factory work

Mumof1andacat · 05/12/2024 20:19

Some admin jobs in the nhs, especially a&e, might offer these hours. Could try nhs 111 as a call operator

Brainded · 05/12/2024 20:21

Well it all depends on where you live and what industry is around you I suppose?!

XelaM · 05/12/2024 20:21

Amazon Flex delivery driver

Drug dealer 🤷‍♀️

OrangesCinammonIvy · 05/12/2024 20:22

Taking offence and being offensive in the same post Confused

Depending on the size of the town/city you are in op but 24 hour retail may be a good idea to look at. Even stores that are open till mid evening need shelves stocked.

I used to work at a hotel as a meeting an team member, setting up for events, weddings etc, serving the food, clearing up after etc, that was a nice job role tbf and i used to start around 6 but it could go on til about 2am, but prob 1 of the nicest kind of jobs for those hours otherwise its kinda factory work, stocking shelves etc, which arent bad either but depends on what youd prefer x

Skintymcskinties · 05/12/2024 20:43

Sorry I didn't mean to cause offence - care is incredible and hats off but I couldn't do it. I know it's more than bums I was being light hearted.

To the poster who said walking the streets I think I know what you mean but I look like Mr blobby.

Thank you all for the suggestions xx

Could have just said carer instead.

GrumpyOldCrone · 05/12/2024 20:49

If you could push it a little bit later (9pm - 3am) you could be a DJ. It does help if you know people though.

I used to think the same about care but i took a care job in the past, tbh wiping bums is 1 of the jobs you prob do the least and also if you have to do those kinda things its usually in a pair, as you have to move the person...you can usually agree on the wiping etc, do the job together but you could be disposing of the contents and other things, its a very rewarding job. Also...there are sit calls where you dont do anything apart from keep them company or domestic calls where you clean their home an make lunch or something, theres alot more to care than people realise xxxx

I do hope, if (or when) the time comes, some kind person will be happy to wipe your bum
How nastily dismissive those two words are

I'm not entirely sure 111 or a caring environment are what the OP wants...

Mmmcheese89 · 05/12/2024 20:56

Nhs 111 call handler. And if you're good enough some trusts eventually let you work from home.

Chicheguevara · 05/12/2024 20:56

Call handler jobs for emergency services or those care lines for folks with the emergency bracelets/necklaces. I don’t know if that’s your thing but the jobs are out there.
