When do you get the Christmassy feels?

Light-hearted AIBU.

Tree and decorations go up on the 12th December in our house and not before under any circumstances. Even then I don't get the feels until I've heard my favourite Christmas song on the radio 😆. It's become a strange tradition in our house and DS and DH call me Mrs Grinch until then but once I've heard it played I turn into Mrs Claus. 🤶
DH says he's going to send a request to our local station for it to be played just for me 🤣🤣.
AIBU and should I break my own self made tradition just to please them and if I hear it before the 12th let them put the tree up?

It's Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses btw!

Love that song OP - so cheesy! I'm awful, complete marketeers dream - it's the coca cola advert for me! I'll hang my head in shame.

Also ds's nativity, and carol concerts. Love Christmas.

Hearing carols.

Going to Xmas tree festivals

When the tree is up, which is mid-December for us too. And when I put my favourite Christmas songs on and have a mince pie. But I hate it when it all happens too soon! Especially non-stop cheesy Christmas songs on the radio from the end of November 🙄

Christmas Eve for me!

Stand firm, OP.

They have already played it on Radio 2. Get your tree up woman!
