Will try and keep this simple.
2 DS. Oldest DS is 6 and in Year 1. He's autistic. Thought he wouldn't manage mainstream but we are getting there. Had an incident of bullying with name calling which DS found v difficult. School pretty supportive. He's v challenging at home. H not v supportive.
Youngest DS is 3. No issues. Due to start primary in Sep 25.
I want to move house to a much nicer town 25 mins away with a really great school that has fantastic reputation for SEN. School has waiting lists at every year. Oldest DS is currently being assessed for an EHCP but council running a year behind so may not get on until Sep 25.
Plan is to put house up for sale in Jan. Nothing round here seems to be selling though. Our neighbour hasn't any interest since August.
I need to choose a school for younger DS now. Do I put the school in the new town and somehow hope it will all fall into place? Or do I put old primary school down and then wait until I've moved house and then put the kids on waiting list? I can't manage it logistically with work if they were at 2 different schools 25 mins drive from each other.
I'm also planning on splitting with my H the other side of Christmas.
I'm in a mess about how to manage it all. What school do I put now - the one in our current town or the one in the town I hope to live in? Do I divorce H now or move first?
How do I plan this? Any advice. It's going round and round my head.
