Try to keep this as brief as possible.
21st November I placed an order for a few items for Christmas presenta with Amazon. Everything was prime so should have arrived within a few days. Item cost £65 bought a couple more things and paid with a gift card but had to pay low £6 cash. When processed one item was listed as delivery on 16th December. We leave that day for Christmas break.
Tried to cancel only to be told there was an error and to try again in a few minutes. I repeatedly tried to cancel that day only to get the same message. The next day I chatted with an associate to cancel and they said the problem was it was about to be shipped and once it's at that stage it cannot be cancelled. Pointed out it was strange it was about to be shipped yet not due for delivery until 16th December and I had tried to cancel multiple times. He said he would process a ticket to cancel and refund processed in 24 hours.
Next day a refund of £6 was issued. Contacted associate again to be told they first one wasn't cancelled at all and that they would process it then with payment being 24 hours. The issue was that the item was about to be dispatched. Pointed out the last associate had said it was about to be dispatched 24 hours earlier. The credited £6 was deducted. She had cancelled now and would receive an email confirming it as soon as the chat ended. Anyway no email came and no refund was made, order still at just before dispatch by listed as arriving 16 december.
Contacted again on Tuesday to ask why there was no update. This associate said the other two associates were wrong the time had never been cancelled and it couldn't as it was about to leave the warehouse. Told him it had been about to leave the warehouse since Friday and yet it still hadn't. He said he has expedited delivery to leave on 28th to be delivered by 30th.
Yesterday the account updated to say they were cancelling item. I was happy it was finally sorted. Except today the item had gone back to 'delivering on 16 December' but I had once again been credited £6.
Contacted again today to ask what was going to once again be told the item was about to leave warehouse and couldn't be cancelled. She said due to the ongoing issue it'd be best to wait for time to be delivered and request a full refund. I asked why the £6 had appeared on account. She said it was a partial refund the rest would be refunded in 24 hours. If then item appeared I could just keep it.
It has been another 24 hours. There is no email, the item says it will be delivered on 16th December and there has been no refund. I am sick of going around in fucking circles and just want it resolved.
Any advice very much welcome.
