Clipped Wing Mirror when Reversing

My car was in the garage today for repairs and when I went to collect it they’d parked it very close to another car and at an angle. It was really tricky to get out and whilst reversing I ended up clipping the other cars wing mirror. I checked for damage and all I could see were some possible some scuff marks on their mirror but it was dark. There’s no damage to my car. I went back into the garage to let them know what happened as I assumed the other car was also a customer. They had a look and thought it was ok and helped me to reverse out.

But now I’m worried that I’ve not given my details directly to the car owner although they could get them from the garage. Should I report this to the police as a collision? Do I need to inform my insurer?

I think it's fine, you must have been going very slowly so I doubt you did any damage at all, probably just knocked the mirror in, but you checked anyway, couldn't see any, told the garage, they couldn't see any either - you've done a lot more than most people probably would TBH. I'd just stop worrying for now.
