He still hasn't been paid and always gets paid on the 27th. It is now the 29th and still no wages. No bother to me as I don't see any of it anyway but its stressing him out and he is taking out on me and the 3 children and its not nice to live with.

So, why hasn't it been paid and is it too mcuh to ask that it arrives on the same date each month? He phoned the secretary at work yesterday and she said she would get back to him and she didn't.

Depends what's in his contract. If you say it always gets paid on 27th and it's just this month that it's a couple of days late (and since 27th was a Sunday it couldn't have been paid then) then I think you are being a bit ott in whinging already.

Try not being paid for 4 months because the company you are contracting for are rubbish at paying invoices on time, and then see how much you feel entitled to moan (personal experience).

Sorry, I know. Its just that this month has been really bad and if its not paid by the first then the mortgage comes out.

I am unsure of what his contract says but its always paid on the 27th.

YANBU, if his payment is due on 27th he should be paid on the 27th, I get paid on 26th and if 26th is at the weekend I get paid the friday before. I have direct debits set up for the day after pay day so wouldn't be happy if my money was paid late.

peanutbear · 29/04/2008 09:14

if DH was due to be paid on a sunday it doesnt go in till monday

Saying that all we know is he gets paid at some point before the end of the month it depends who puts the BACs through to what date it is

Iota · 29/04/2008 09:19

I used to get paid on the last working day of the month, so had all my dds set up for the beginning of the following month

titchy · 29/04/2008 10:20

Perfectly reasonable - check his contract. If it clearly states 27th as payday then any fees you run up as a result of being paid late the company should reimburse.

Dropdeadfred · 29/04/2008 10:33

why do you not see any of it?
