Do I need to change my pants?

I just saw the Innersey pants mentioned in a mumsnet daily email. This got me thinking, I switched to the brand during lockdown. So these pants must be almost 5 years old. 🫣
I haven't had new pants for at least 3 years, when I treated myself to a different colour pack, and the OG lockdown ones are still going strong.
AIBU for wearing pants that old? 🫢

YABU = That's a horrendous admission. Throw them immediately and let's never mention it again. You're an absolute skank. 🥴

YANBU = They still look good, they cover everything, they wash well, you're saving the planet. 🤗

I'm fully prepared to be influenced by you all.

If they're still going great guns I'd keep them! Might wear fancier ones if I was doing anything high-risk that might involve my jeans being cut off me in A&E to be honest (motorbike racing, hang gliding etc). But if you're just going about your daily business and they're clean and fresh I see no problem with the OG pants!

I think you need to get out more.

minipie · 25/11/2024 08:37

Eh? Why would you chuck out something that’s still fine??

Needanadultgapyear · 25/11/2024 09:23

I have many pants that are older and in excellent condition. Why would you throw away something that is in good condition and functioning well.

Manchesterbythesea · 25/11/2024 09:30

As long as they are still doing the job I’d keep them. Would you recommend them anyway? I bought some on Amazon and they got lost in transit. Got a refund but haven’t reordered.

Why are you asking a bunch of strangers if you should buy new underwear????

AllTangledUpInTinselAndTiaras · 25/11/2024 10:24

What?

Firstly I agree with pp - why are you asking the whole wide world about this?

And secondly, obviously it's completely fine to keep using garments that are in perfectly good condition.
