What's the issue with Dior?

I've treated myself to a small bottle of Dior perfume but apparently people are boycotting - does anyone know what the issue is - read different things online. Looks like it's going in the bin or I'm I being daft?😐

If you stopped using or buying everything the people on social media are boycotting these days... well, you would never leave the house.

Enjoy your perfume, Dior make lovely ones.

I never understand why people buy something then destroy it because they are boycotting. Dior have made the sale so they don’t care if you use it or chuck it. It’s your hard earned money so I think that you should enjoy your perfume and stop wobbling because social media.

I am on TikTok and Dior perfumes are very popular with Gen Z whether it’s Sauvage or Miss Dior. Videos attract less Palestine comments compared to Starbucks so I’m not sure that any boycott is as well known as you think.

I agree with others, there's no point binning something you've already bought. The whole point of a boycott is to encourage change by impacting their profit. You've bought the item and the money's in their account. That ship has sailed.

Also, would you normally scrutinise the supply/production chain of a product or service you buy to make sure it's ethical and there's no exploitation? I feel like binning Dior perfume because other people are doing is is a bit hollow unless you're being more conscious of who you give your money to as a habit. If you look far enough, you'll fine ethical problems somewhere down the line with a lot of products. You need to decide what's important to you and what your ethical lines are, not social media or Mumsnet.
