Turned colleague down, now being ignored

Work colleague asked for my number, I gave him it. He seemed like a nice person and thought we could just chat and get to know each other. The chat was slightly flirty with me saying if he needed more help from me I could come hide out in his office and that would give us a reason to chat with each other. His reply was that he was going for lunch and perhaps I could hide on his sofa instead! I just said we'll perhaps we could take a nice walk sometime outside of work and his attitude completely changed. He randomly asked if I had a dog after i said about the walk and then said I live too far from him and he has no free time. I replied just saying oh OK no worries I get how busy you are with work and seeing your child. He very replied. Has ignored me at work and now won't reply to my professional emails after I've set him things that need doing.
So what do I do? He surely can't keep ignoring my emails when things need doing. Also just to say I'm not above him at work but we need to work as a team where I need his teams help to complete my work.
I recently found out he's done similar to another woman who started before me.

do what you’d do to any colleague ignoring you in a professional manner?
Can you cc in their boss to your email

I have cc'd my boss in. He still doesn't carry out the work.

Cc his own boss as well as yours along the lines of “following up on email sent 10th Nov. Please could you confirm work has started on x project…” I’d forget about any of the flirtation and just move on. Keep it strictly professional, he’s got a job to do; if it doesn’t get done that’s on him. It sounds like he just wants to flirt with people at work but has no intention of it ever going anywhere. Perhaps a wife/gf at home?

No apparently been single for quite a while.
He done this with the other girl. Ignored her emails and did his own thing and in the process made a mess of everything. It seems if he feels he can get something out of you he will be nice. Wish I'd realised he was like this before. Such immature behaviour

Follow the standard escalation process if he’s not responding to professional work emails. Differs from company to company, if not sure check with your manager on next steps.

I don't understand @Snowsprinkles123 , he offered to let you sit in his office on a sofa while he went to lunch? who were you hiding from?
Then you said you would like to go for a walk with him in response to the office sofa thing?

He said I could go home to hide on his soda. I jokingly said can I come hide in your office to get away from the chaos in mine. But then he said I come could go back to him in our lunch breaks. I hardly know the guy so I steered the conversation and said let's go for a while sometime instead and then that's when he said he had no free time and I live too far and has ignored me since then

So basically he wanted you to go to his house at lunchtime to do the nasty. He's realised it's a no go so he's taken the huff. Is he a teenager?!

Like others have said, escalate to his boss on the work thing, ignore everything else. He's a child.

Yep that's basically the jist of it. He was the one who originally said that a work relationship would be too complicated and then he just complicated it himself but ignoring me

Then it’s not your problem.

it’s your boss’s problem. Make sure you keep a paper trail.

I get no greater satisfaction than sending an email to my boss, replying to why something hasn’t been done, and attaching the 5-6 emails requesting it from another member of staff.

I always put….. “Jim” never seems to answer any of my emails, but as you can see I’ve requested it more than once. 🤣

This. The backstory is irrelevant.

I can't imagine having this much free time at work.
