Which way up does this fabric go? Yellow clips at the top or bottom?

It need to be rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise, with the writing vertical and the red stamp at the bottom. The bird flying is even to the side the way you have it now.

Vertical writing. Rotate it anti clockwise by 90 degrees. You want the birds at the top.

I think it’s read from the right to left with the words vertical would mean red stamp at the bottom

so you need to turn it 90 degrees to the left which would put the yellow clips on the left side.

Surely you can tell from the design of the fabric (position of birds and trees) that the clips are currently on the left?

I don't speak a far east language, but I do know which way up birds and trees generally go!

Yellow clips to the left, looks more Chinese than anything to me.

If you could see more of the fabric, you would see that with clips to the left, there are still birds and trees upside down - it's a design of REFLECTIONS. When I had the clips on the left, the bird to the top left diagonal of the red square was vertical, as were others on the fabric ... and plenty upside down!

That's why the script was so important.

I should have thought about writing being vertical though, that's my error. Covid brain here!
