Could this be shingles?

Posting for traffic as I fear I may be developing shingles 😣

I have had shingles twice before. Once on my left upper leg/bikini line area and once a very bog standard left side of trunk. Neither was particularly awful and this was over 10 years ago.

Today I woke up and when I put my dressing gown on, noticed from my left elbow up to just below my armpit, in the area where my arm touches my body when hanging down, feels very painful. Initially thought pulled muscle (but not done anything to warrant this). As the morning is going on it is clear that it's a burning of my skin and not muscle pain. My jumper touching my skin feels horrible and I have had to take it off. There are no rashes or skin changes I can see yet but remember the last times it was sore for a day or two first before the blisters came.

Could this be anything else? I just haven't got time for this 😔

Get the anti viral treatment right away.

I am just in the doctor's telephone queue now. I remember having antivirals last time as I was immunocompromised. Will see what they say. NHS website says to call if the pain is moderate to severe or the area affected is not the torso. Will see what they say.

Actually, the recorded message says shingles in the pharmacy so will try there first
