Anyone ever questioned their sexuality?
At various ages in your life..

Of course people have. What a daft question. Have you never heard of coming out?

I think OP was hoping for personal stories

Season 6 Ugh GIF by Parks and Recreation

I do wonder sometimes if I'm a lesbian, because I just find the behaviour and way of thinking of most men bloody awful.

Sick of them tbh

MumOfOneAllAlone · 19/11/2024 07:14

I do notice when a woman is pretty of has a great figure etc but I do unfortunately 😕 like a tall, muscly man 🤭

SpanThatWorld · 19/11/2024 08:00

I question mine.
Always on a Thursday.
Usually about half past four.

I find it surprisingly unresponsive.

When it comes down to it, I’ve never questioned what I prefer when intimate with someone. Not ever.

OneBlackHeart · 19/11/2024 08:31

Yup. Always thought I was Bi. Now I think maybe I'm a lesbian and just married a man cuz my family so homophobic and I wanted kids. Every relationship with a man I've been treated shit women never treat you that way and I prefer it.

I think it's more of a spectrum. You can be more inclined to one sex than the other but still like a very good looking man/woman when it's not your normal thing.

JinoPino · 19/11/2024 08:36

Yes. It's a spectrum.

I've had boyfriends, girlfriends, I'm married and in a straight relationship.

I'm probably bisexual but more attracted to men, I don't know if there's a gayness 'weighting' but I suppose I feel 80% straight with 20% attraction to women. But I find sex with women better than sex with men. Even though I do still enjoy straight sex.

I have been single so long, I'm not sure what I'm after.
I would say I've had periods of being bi curious, but never acted on it. Not sure watching LGBTQ tv and films counts lol

Hmmmm, it's weird because I consider myself straight. Have always found men sexually attractive.

However, there is one woman I know who has caused me to question this- what's weird is that she is the only woman I have ever thought I'd like to sleep with. I've never met a single woman before or since who I have found attractive in that way and the thought of generally having sex with women turns me off, literally except her.

Really dont know what this means lol

Marblesbackagain · 19/11/2024 15:21

No, I knew from a very early age I liked men. Unfortunately, I at about age 7 my radar was wonky and I set my sights on George Michael 🤣.

I think there are people who are very binary in their setting, I count myself there.

And then there's people who are really all about the person not the sex of the person. I also do think some person may be bi or gay but due to upbringing come to realise this later in life. Hopefully society is evolving to allowing people to figure that out earlier.

PauliesWalnuts · 19/11/2024 15:25

Same here @rosehipstalk - met her on an event about 20 years ago. She was a copper, and the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen. The sexual tension was absolutely off the scale to the point where people were noticing. I'd have turned for her there and then if she'd have asked but we were both seeing other people. I still think of her sometimes but I've never even been tempted with anyone else.

Balloonhearts · 19/11/2024 15:25

Well I asked it this morning why it hadn't done the washing up and it was, unsurprisingly, not forthcoming. Cheeky little freeloader.

Seriously though, I always assumed myself to be straight but did wonder in my late 20s whether I was actually asexual. Extensive therapy has revealed that I am indeed very much straight; I'm traumatised and saddled with trust issues but once I actually get to the stage of liking someone, it's always been men.

lollypopsforme · 19/11/2024 15:29

Ive always known i was bi.
Never caused me any problems.

Only one way to find out!

Exactly! It's strange isnt it? I have no issue with it at all, it is what is and it's no big deal but I sometimes wonder, why just her?
