Wouldn’t ever watch anything like that.

So now you're questioning my mental health? The nonce accusation has already been deleted by the admins. Does this post need reporting as well.
It seems you can't have a calm debate. You have to get nasty and personal.

Report me if you like. Personally, I'd rather stay far far away from anyone who thinks CSA is "k**e porn" and thinks it's something to laugh and joke about.

& did everyone that complained, as the whole thing went on for well over an hour if remember? Not just the media selected bits.
So everyone on here has seen Shannon Matthews the Musical the Movie too, to justify the outrage? Somehow I think not.

The idea of it is a disgrace. The content doesn't matter.

PureBoggin · 15/11/2024 23:44

@KendraTheVampyrSlayer Cside and Big Bazza are on the wind up. They're not here to discuss this in good faith.

You seem quite offended dear, how ironic.

Why would anyone in their right mind listen to Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand for a whole hour?

CsideMilf · 15/11/2024 23:47

Night folks, enjoy the rest of your evening!

I’m sure that Shannon is alive & well & probably living her best life along with her siblings, albeit without a parent but hey some parents are better off out of their children’s lives.

BarryGw · 15/11/2024 23:47

KendraTheVampyrSlayer · 15/11/2024 23:41

You seem to be unable to make any judgements about anything unless you've seen all the evidence. How on earth do you plan for the future?

Surely anyone who doesn't have an IQ of 10 would conclude that a man who masturbates to children being abused has a very high probability of actually abusing children?

I'm just saying no evidence was found during the investigation or examination that Shannon had been sexually abused. Craig obviously had an interest in underage girls, but there was no evidence that it went further than the web.
I'd genuinely not seem the Guardian article regarding the driving prior to the kidnap plan, it makes interesting reading.
As a parent I think CSA is the most horrid crime. But it doesn't feature in the film because it was never part of the case. Just a ridiculous plan to get £50k and some TV time.

That's a fair point!

TofuTart · 15/11/2024 23:49

Shannon's a real life, living young adult who suffered unimaginably at the hands of her mum and others.
How must she feel seeing that someone has made a musical for entertainment about her childhood abuse?
It's sick.

Prepared to discuss that in court??

Mind you, you make up the facts anyway as you’ve proven.

CsideMilf · 15/11/2024 23:53

MotherJessAndKittens · 15/11/2024 23:44

& you don’t have to. 👍

ClicketyClickPlusOne · 15/11/2024 23:54

CsideMilf · 15/11/2024 19:45

Wrong, having seen it, it is not about her.
It’s about Karen, Craig & Michael.

Did you & the folks here make uproar about the Sheridan Smith drama “The Moorside”? 🤔 Probably Not!

Fine: Call it Karen Matthews The Musical, then.

Not the name of the victim child who must be watching all this.

Already reported, as it's the second time I've been accused of being a nonce on here.
People on here aren't very nice considering they act like they are the moral compass.

Luckily, I genuinely don't get offended. Surely my defence of the movie shows that. I do like to play devil's advocate tho.

PureBoggin · 16/11/2024 00:05

It's interesting how Shannon's abusers crimes have been downgraded to a ridiculous plot to get money and some TV time by "creatives" happy to exploit her abuse to get money and some TV time.

BarryGw · 16/11/2024 00:06

Right! Time for bed. Early start tomorrow. It's been a blast. Catch you tomorrow for more fun and debate 🖤

olivechuu · 16/11/2024 01:01

Don’t watch it if it bothers you? The guy who wrote it has been doing bad taste parodies for 15 years. He’s got a song called Sexy Kids for fuck sake.

olivechuu · 16/11/2024 01:02

NuffSaidSam · 15/11/2024 21:24

Exactly, so they used the name of an abused child to promote it instead because it 'rolls off the tongue' better.

It’s not her name though, as plenty of you have already acknowledged. She changed her name a long time ago.

Did they just deadname the poor wee lassie formerly known as Shannon, aged nine?

I was hoping for a bit more inclusivity if I'm honest. Black Comedies Matter

Do you always miss the point by quite this wide a margin or are you feeling particularly thick as fuck this evening?

cariadlet · 16/11/2024 02:35

I can't believe that some people are comparing this to The Moorside, the Sheridan Smith drama about the case.

That wasn't exploitative. It was told from the point of view of local people whose goodwill was exploited by Karen Matthews. A good piece of drama that was respectful of all those who were involved who deserved to be treated with respect.

Very different from turning the story into a tacky musical.
