I'm salivating. Anyone tracked it down?

It last sold in Feb 2024 for £2.7 million, and Omaze are marketing it as worth £4 million. That's a hell of a jump in 9 months

It seems to have had a makeover, certainly since the photos in the link posted above.
New kitchen, leisure, and all new furniture too. ( probably not a millions worth though)

Someone posted a link to Ashdown Jones house particulars, they are renowned for this.

Why worry about any of this? You're not going to win it.

Well that’s not true, someone will win it. I work with someone who won one.

Does it come with surveys (structural or otherwise) else you could be winning a money pit....

Is it anywhere near the shops, hospital etc with frequent public transport ?

TamzinGrey · 25/12/2024 17:46

Just found the house on Streetview and now I've gone right off it. In order to access the lovely lakeside area of the garden you have to cross a public road, which is cleverly hidden from view in the advertising photos.
I entered before I discovered this, so if anyone would like to buy it from me when I win please feel free to get in touch.

I think it's too remote but my DP would adore it. I will enter but I literally never win anything. Hope springs eternal.

Its only 15 mins drive from a large town

Edited

It’s near Ulverston. Which has supermarkets, schools and trains station. Barrow is nearest hospital. Which is about half hr drive.

The road here is a non issue. Busier in summer, but cars go slow.

It's got holiday home written all over it, who could afford to run it? I suppose you could rent it out in high season but it would become a second job wouldn't it.

Well if I got the house for free and didn't have a mortgage I could probably afford to run it.

Thanks for the info, CouchSpid
