I've been thinking about booking first/business class for a long haul flight as treat for a shitty year. I was just wondering whether if you fly either of these, you have to go to the same baggage reclaim area or is there a 'special' one like the separate check in desk? Totally not arsed either way, just a general pondering.

Business class gets a priority label when checking in. You collect with everyone else.

Your bags are tagged and unloaded off first. If you’re dithering or in the bathroom, everyone else’s will join them on the carousel shortly.

Why is eleven called eleven instead of onety- one?

I know this one! Eleven is derived from a word meaning “one left” - so it originally expressed that you have one remaining after counting ten. Twelve is the same - originally “two left”.

Why do your periods get worse as you get older? In my teens and twenties I hardly noticed them. Now in my forties I have to plan my life around them.
