To be frustrated with 'credit crunch' talk

Viewed our dream house yesterday. It was the first day on the market, we were the third viewers and the previous 2 viewers had put in offers of the asking price during their viewing. What credit crunch ??? The estate agent told me the last 2 houses he sold went for 10% OVER asking price. AHHHHHH.

I have no idea what the credit crunch is and I'm sick of hearing about it, so I can imagine you're pretty peeved.

That estate agent would appear to be undervaluing.

wanderingtrolley - the house was 'reasonably priced'. Is this some cunning trick to get loads of interest and offers ? Need to know as we are instructing on the sale of ours tomorrow !

Well we are feeling the crunch here. My dh is a builder and the main companies he builds houses for have now either stopped building new houses or are boarding up the ones they have just built as they can't sell them at the moment. There is no private work for him to do as most people are being careful with their money and not spending out on extentions, walls etc., So it might be making you feel abit sick to keep hearing about it, but here it is very real and affecting us big time.
