I’m sure in this day and age, we should not be calling a bully , bullies, but call them abusers?
Because what a bully does is cause Mental, Emotional & Physical Abuse on another child!

I think there is a difference. Bullies are ignorant/young children and don't really understand what they are doing. Bullying comes from hurt or from poor parenting/shit school/bad management at work.

Abusers do it intentionally with malicious intent to control. They may be ignorant and hurting like a bully but the intentions different. Like a bully often has an audience or at least is known to be a bully within the group but abusers go to great lengths to hide who they are and it's more of a personal relationship thing

I’m with you. My ND DDs were both bullied in school. It is emotional abuse and frequently, also physical. It’s so psychologically and emotionally damaging and once children are of high school age they absolutely know what they’re doing. Both my DDs have attended ongoing therapy to deal with the fall out. I didn’t bother with the school in the end, I went straight to the parents … and was able to remove my DDs from school and home educate. They will undoubtedly come across abusive people in life but hopefully they’ll be older and more able to deal with it. I was so determined my DDs were not going to become a horrible statistic of the poor children that can’t face life anymore because of the appalling treatment they receive at the hands of their peers.

Of course bullying is abuse. Bullying can be physical as well as psychological.

However people differentiate between domestic abuse/child abuse and bullying.

My school certainly differentiates
Physical = exclusion
Mental = they have a word
