Ibuprofen while breastfeeding?

Hi everyone, I'm home after spending 6 days in hospital on IV antibiotics for mastitis that turned into a breast absess. They did an ultrasound and stuck a needle into it to drain it and it's very painful. My hand is also swollen and painful after thr IV I had. I was our top maternity hospital I gave birth in with my 10 week old and they gave me ibuprofen and paracetomal everyday.

I just went to the chemist and bought ibuprofen but the info sheet with it says it gets into the milk and isn't recommended for nursing mothers. I'm very confused but anxious about this, on one hand the hospital wouldn't give me something that would harm the baby, but why would the info on the ibuprofen I bought say that? I don't like taking medicines while BFing and am already on a 10 day course of flucloxcillan so am very worried about harming baby with all the meds. Is it fine or am I being unreasonable?

It says that in everything you can buy. Ibuprofen taken at the regular level is fine. Just don't give baby any junior nurofen if they also need it post jabs - give them calpol only

It's fine. A small amount will pass to the baby but it's not considered harmful. I was on ibuprofen while breastfeeding without any issues.

They say that about pretty much everything as you can't test the effect of adult medication on a baby.
