AIBU to wonder WHY does a game of golf take so long....I mean......6hrs???

Football is unbelievably tedious, but even that only take 90mins, maybe 2hrs if into extra time etc, but who the hell decided that gold must have 18holes and take so long (and the extra at the 19th hole too[hmm)

DH left the house at 7am, won;t be back until 2pm, I have no car as ours has broken down, walking is out as DS2 has cuts and grazes all over as DH was 'negligent' yesterday and allowed him to fall over[evil eyes sent] and he has 4 bad enough patches to need plaster and he never allows plasters to touch him normally!!!!! (joke BTW) plus we have had a thunderstorm already and I am not convinced another is on its way, and I now have 3 bored kiddies moaning that daddy has abandoned them, DD1 and DD2 also have (well, one at a friends, one on scout camp) and mummy is also ignoring them to MN.

soooooooooooooo

Golf......why why why????

2-3 hours should really be the max time needed, mine went out at 7.30am this morning and got back about half an hour ago and he had a drink (or 2) in the bar after

Psychomum5 · 27/04/2008 12:41

two playing....altho no idea of how many in front.

that said, how many can be in front considering the time they started hey!!!

posieflump · 27/04/2008 12:43

it's no 19 that takes the longest time

the clubhouse

zippitippitoes · 27/04/2008 12:43

is he not very good lol

if you are a beginner it takes longer but i would have thought max 4 hours

unless they hassve mobility problems

Psychomum5 · 27/04/2008 12:45

and the 19th hole is therfoer always the hardest too isn;t it.

and so he will come home and declare that the 'pint' at lunchtime has knackered him out and he nows needs to loll about dozing on the sofa!!!!

well....he reckons he is the best.....tis his friend who is poor and he takes pity on him and plays badly to make his friend feel less paranoid about his golf skills.

my DH, the bleeding heart of the golf course...

Don't forget it is 'the 4 players in front who have never played before and didn't let them through'
That is what DH says EVERY SINGLE TIME

Psychomum5 · 27/04/2008 13:19

lol....tis possibly what my DH may say too when he finally rolls in!!!
