Sleeping arrangements

hello! Budget is a little tight , so we are having to move into a 1 bedroom for a year and we have two kiddos - 4 and 1 yrs. Please can you suggest how to manage the sleep situation ? Currently baby and i sleep in one room and 4DD sleeps with dad in another room, which has worked well.

After the move , is it a crazy idea to put 1 and 4 year old together in a double bed and me in a single bed next to them? Dad on a sofa bed in the living room ? Living room and kitchen are 2 in 1 and im also mindful that if baby wakes up early, I would have to sneak him out into living room to avoid him waking up 4 year old … so he would then wake up dad … not sure what’s best … Maybe all of us in the bedroom - a xl king bed for me and the kids and dad in the single bed next to us ?!

thank you for any advice :)

Kids in bedroom, really decent folding couch bed in sitting room for you & partner.

We had a sofabed for a year or 2 in the dining room.. Wasn't an issue. Dc had the bedrooms.

@LuLuRN thank u! We’ve never had experience of a folding coach. Do you think it will be easy to revert into a sofa every morning ? Then pull out again every evening ? Maybe somewhere like ikea has good ones , I will see what I can find!

Does it have a dining room?

Bunk beds for kids and you have the bedroom.

@Makingchocolatecake hello! No dining room really, it’s an open plan kitchen and living area in one and one bedroom.

Yu and dh in a double and the kids in toddler beds / singles. All in the same room.

Leaves the other room free to go to if someone wakes up etc.

Do you want to co sleep with children? I'd go everyone in the bedroom a double and 2 toddler beds if you can fit it in. Then leave the main room as a family area. So you have somewhere to go in the mornings and you have some space in the evenings.
