To take my DC with me into Anne Summers?

Serious question, regular poster with a name change as well.. it's a bit embarrassing, isn't it?

I want to buy a nice waspie, needed by tomorrow as we've got, erm, plans. It has to be a waspie as I'm trying to cover up my stretch marks and wobbly bits 😐

It's too late to order online. The only place I can think of on the high street for something like this is Anne Summers. (If you know of anywhere else please do reccomend)

The problem is I've got no way of offloading my DC (7 and 5) in order to go alone.

I'm considering just taking them with me, being as quick as possible and keeping them away from the adult only area, but is that unreasonable?

Would you judge somebody for going in with children?

Could you phone up and ask them if they have one and to put it to one side for you so you can dash in and out quickly without having to search for whatever a waspie is (genuinely no idea!)

I honestly don't think your kids will have a clue, I'm sure 5 mins in Ann Summers won't scar them for life! I remember being at a festival with dps at age 10 and there was a sex show 🤣 Enjoy your weekend 😉

And they saw it?

SabreIsMyFave · 08/11/2024 20:33

YABVU obviously! Hmm FGS!

fearandworry · 08/11/2024 20:34

Jesus Christ. What do you really think? The fact you are asking is a clue.

Your parents let you watch a sex show when you were 10?!

Hoppinggreen · 08/11/2024 20:36

Yep, I would judge you.
Bit unfair on the other customers as well

I'm shocked by this. Kids watching sex acts is abuse. Not really funny!

Amazon have next day delivery, how on earth has this last minute need arose?!

MumChp · 08/11/2024 20:38

Wouldn't bring the children, no.

Well obviously it did occur to me that it isn't a good idea, however on the basis I'd hopefully be in and out and planned to keep them next to me at all times as to avoid the adult section.. it didn't feel like the worst thing in the world!

Yes YABU and this thread doesn't sit right with me,

SweetBobby · 08/11/2024 20:40

I'll probably be deleted if I say what I want to say. But you seem more concerned about your sex life than you do about exposing your young children to completely inappropriate stuff.

You could find yourself in a whole lot of trouble if they go into school and start talking about the things they saw/heard in there.

Amibeingabadmum · 08/11/2024 20:40

Point taken, bad idea! I won't go.

And to buy this of all things? It's awful.

Doggymummar · 08/11/2024 20:42

Get your partner to watch them whilst you go

ISeriouslyDoubtIt · 08/11/2024 20:42

Really inappropriate place for children.

TheGoogleMum · 08/11/2024 20:42

There's some on amazon next day delivery. But I really don't think having one is quite so essential it's worth exposing the kids to inappropriate things. I'm sure your partner will find you very attractive without it

Amibeingabadmum · 08/11/2024 20:42

As above, I won't be going.

OP posts:
SilverChampagne · 08/11/2024 20:43

Has your partner made a last minute request for this, op? Hmm. The urgency is quite strange.

Catandsquirrel · 08/11/2024 20:43

I don't think Ann S is suitable for kids that age. A tiny one who wouldn't have a clue what was happening, maybe. Is there a Boux Avenue or Victoria's Secret in your town? They might have similar.

lasagnelle · 08/11/2024 20:43

Are you planning on getting laid?

If so I think it's grim to take your children along while you choose underwear. They shouldn't even know you're dating if it's early days.

Get your priorities straight.

Ps. The right wo/man wouldn't care about stretch marks

lasagnelle · 08/11/2024 20:44

Amibeingabadmum · 08/11/2024 20:42

As above, I won't be going.

it's worrying you even considered it

Hoppinggreen · 08/11/2024 20:46

Don't sleep with someone if you have to cover up your perfectly natural body with something like that for them.
If its for you thats different

Amibeingabadmum · 08/11/2024 20:46

As above, again, I'm not taking them.

It was an impulsive spur of the moment thought, which has now been put to bed.

No need to carry on chastising me.

I asked for input, people answered, I've given my head a wobble.
