It’s so gross.

My bins only get emptied every fortnight and every time I go out some bellend has put their dog shit in it: it stinks, spreads, attracts flies in summer - just stop it.

In related news - can anyone recommend a wheelie bin lock?

I hate it. Lazy bastards do this to me as well, despite the fact that there’s a public bin about 15 metres away! It makes the bin stink really badly. A bunch of people will be on here to say how this behaviour is fine. It just isn’t.

Wheelie bin locks are very easy to find and not expensive. Why not start with the cheapest and if you aren't happy with that, then upgrade.

I've found a brick on the bin lid is as effective as a bin lock. They need a hand for the brick, a hand for the poo, a hand for the lid and a hand for the dog, so they just don't bother. But yes people need to stop doing this.

How annoying, and gross. I sometimes have to carry my dogs poo bag for ages while passing wheelie bins because there are not many public bins but that's just tough shit 😂 It's disgusting to put it in someone's personal bin, I just wait until I find a public bin or take it home.A lock sounds like a good idea, but you shouldn't have to get one, people should be more responsible for their own dogs poo.

I painted "No poo", "Take your poo home" etc. in big letters on my bin. Surprisingly it worked! Maybe they thought I was watching them.

This was a recycling bin, so it was extra annoying as when I spotted it I felt obliged to fish it out, bleurgh.
